Focussing on the last working paper mill left in the UK, 'Two Rivers' tells the story of the disappearing craft of handmade paper. Run by Jim Patterson, who has 40 years of experience in making paper, our film is a dialogue about where craftsmanship ends and art starts. The film follows Jim inside the paper mill for a day. We embraced the griminess of the space by shooting on old anamorphic lenses. This also allowed us to contrast the confined space we were shooting against the textures of the mill and the paper.
